DIAS’ team members are highly-regarded across the Defence sector, with extensive experience and relationships across the Department of Defence, Department of Industry, Defence Primes, OEMs, other Australian Small-Medium Enterprises and various industry advisory boards.
Many of the DIAS team of thought-leaders are also currently serving on the Defence Council Victoria, and Committees for AIDN NSW, the Victorian Defence Space Network, the Women’s Defence Connection and Defence Industry Networking.

Andrew Garth
Managing Director/Principal
Andrew is a highly regarded leader throughout the Defence industry well known for his passion for Australian Defence Industry and its contributions to Defence capability outcomes. Andrew’s career includes senior leadership roles within Defence SMEs, Defence Primes and Commonwealth Government.
Mark Arthur
Senior Consultant
Mark has spent over twenty-five years working in the Defence sector in senior leadership roles with medium and large multi-national companies both locally and in the US. As a Senior Consultant, Mark has extensive experience in senior leadership, program management, international business, quality, business improvement and finance.
Sam McNaughton
General Manager
Sam has spent over fifteen years working in the Defence industry, including working with the Department of Defence and Department of Industry’s flagship industry development initiative the Centre for Defence Industry Capability, before moving into the private sector to support a range of Defence Primes and SMEs.
John Dwyer
Senior Consultant
John is a business development professional, with experience working with a number of Defence Primes and SMEs across the land, air and sea domains, both within Australia and overseas. John also has extensive experience in MRO military sales across the Asia Pacific region together with the Joint Strike Fighter manufacturing program in Australia.
Tiffany Watkins
Senior Consultant
Tiffany is an industry engagement and business advisory professional, with critical knowledge and experience of Defence requirements, the Sector, and Industry Capabilities, obtained through a range of embedded and/or advisory roles across both public and private sector organisations.
Les Zanati
Senior Consultant
Les is an accomplished business leader with more than 30 years of experience in the manufacturing sector, servicing industrial, automotive and defence markets. His international experience extends to business development in North America where he was posted for two years. He was also responsible for establishing a new manufacturing facility in SE Asia.
Pete Woods
Senior Consultant
Pete has extensive Defence and Government experience, across a breadth of delivery and business development leadership roles for various multi-national primes, including Director of Industry Capability Network for the Government of South Australia, and General Manager at BAE Systems leading the businesses complex portfolio of Tier 2 / 3 Joint Systems Capabilities.
